The article analyzes the literary works of the outstanding Russian Soviet poet Pavel Vassilyev, the native of the Kazakhstan hinterland, who incorporated two cultures, both the Kazakh and the Russian one. The attention is paid to the so-called ‘Russian Asiatic’ P. Vassilyev’s image, the poet is appreciated as a Eurasian author, as well as a ‘borderland literature’ / transborder poet (opposite to the settings on his bilingual background). There made the attempts to draw a parallel between the Kazakh and Russian philologists’ data, the validity of the poet’s figure for the Kazakh perceiving him as their native is illuminated. P. Vassilyev’s poetic language is also under analysis: it is the existence of the dynamic literary image which appears in the frameworks of movement, both in time and space, on contradiction of movable / moving and static ones. The specific thing of P. Vassilyev’s poetic language is the counterbalance between the active and passive, the mobile and immobile, when the non-visible action turns into an action full of energy, thus, it merely intensifies the text dynamics. That is why the poet’s key concepts are wind, horse, and river which are closely connected with dynamics. The sun as a relevant element of the Universe is also marked in Pavel Vassilyev’s poetry, the authors deal with the way of this concept manifestation by the poet within his poetic world.
Keywords: cognitive, ‘sun’ concept, the author text, national world picture, ethnic culture, Eurasian poet, national vs. lingua-cultural identity, dynamics, transborder, ‘Russian Asiatic’, Pavel Vassilyev.
