Adoption of foreign words in Iran began and accelerated during the Safavid and Qajar dynasties. In the intellectual and scientific circles of Iran, the Dar al-Fonoon High School has played a major role in expanding and consolidating the French language. The process of adaptation of foreign words in the Persian language is a phenomenon that has entered various fields of Iranian science. In the field of laws, in its historical expansion, many French adopted vocabularies have been found since the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on the French Constitution. The adaptation here does not only include the lexical level of the language. To a large extent, this adaptation encompasses the semantic structure of language in French and its impact on the thought of Iranian lawyers. Understanding the constitution and scientific terms of Iranian lawyers requires a high level of French as a scientific language for the process of reading, writing, and communicating scholarly work.

Keywords: terms of laws, adaptation process, Iran, lexical and semantic concepts, form of thought.
