In article literary and critical reviews of A. Solzhenitsyn of E. Zamyatin’s prose, in particular, about his stories are considered. Genetic linkages of “two-private stories” with poetics of stories of Zamyatin of the 1910–1920th, descriptions and forms of the narration, the genre maintenance and style of Zamyatin’s and Solzhenitsyn’s small prose are analyzed.
