The paper deals with the problem of the usage of two languages by the same author in literary works. The paper represents the idea of how important is the difference between ‘the author`s bilinguism’ and ‘literary bilinguism’. The so-called autotranslation (self-translation) and its estimation in special literature are also analyzed.
