In Mongolian literature, creativity as an artistic problem became relevant at the beginning of the 21st century. In the article, based on the novel “White, Black, Red” (2014) by the modern Mongolian writer Gun-Azhavyn Ayurzana, an attempt was made to address the topic of self-realization of a creative personality. The analyzed novel is multidimensional and very complex in terms of plot, composition, content and meaning. The problem of artistic analysis of the creative process, an attempt to comprehend the nature of inspiration, the secret of creativity in Mongolian literature is quite new, therefore it is of particular interest. This is one of the most complex artistic problems, and perhaps it is dictated today by the time itself and the process of literary development. The novel is based on the theme of the responsibility of a modern artist, his behavior in creativity and in everyday life. Along with the philosophical beginning in the novel we find a picturesque, pictorial vision of the world, connected with the figurative and emotional expressiveness of the verbal fabric of the work, which correlates with the color symbolism, which carries a great semantic load.

Keywords: Mongolian literature of the early 21st century, G. Ayurzana, creative process, self-realization of a creative personality, color symbolism
