In this study, based on the theory of linguistic personality by Yu.N. Karaulov, an attempt is made to describe the translingual cultural code of Russian-language prose in Kazakhstan. The concepts of “cultural code”, “language code”, “linguacultural code”, “translingual code” are defined. The study is conducted taking into account the idea of a number of features of translingual authors, including: a synthesis of Eastern and Western thinking, expressed in linguistic creativity, the creation of occasionalism’s and the author’s newspeak, metaphor, consisting in the fusion of Eastern and Western conceptual figurative associations, the pragmatic aspect of switching linguistic and cultural codes within a literary text. It was revealed that the cultural codes of the national identity of Russian-speaking authors are dominant, and their linguistic representation through the learned (Russian) language gives rise to linguistic experiments and creativity.
