The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the jewelry vocabulary of the well-known Kubachin ethnic group in Russia. Kubachintsev jewelry is a vivid phenomenon of Dagestan, Caucasian and Russian artistic cultures since the nineteenth century. The historical aspects of the vocabulary of their language, borrowed from other languages, are a little-studied phenomenon in linguistics. The study of such linguistic materials will make it possible to expand scientific understanding of the peculiarities of the Kubachi language. The vocabulary of the Kubachi language, concerning its jewelry crafts, includes both local (native) and foreign-language borrowed components. Thus, the vocabulary of women’s jewelry, weapons, copper utensils, ornamental motifs, materials, and jewelry-making equipment includes borrowings from Persian, Iranian, Arabic, Turkic, and Russian languages. Many foreign terms entered the Kubachi language through the Turkic and Russian languages. The vocabulary of Kubachi jewelry-making significantly expanded in the late 19th and 20th centuries.
