To the history of the publication Collection of poems by Sergey Esenin (1926): new material

In the article for the first time the history of the creation of the three-volume “Collection of poems” (1926) has been analyzed in the article based on the archival documents. The work on the proofreading of volumes given in the chronological order of the decisions taken by the editorial board of the Collection has not previously been the subject of a special academic study. The analysis shows, how D.A. Furmanov, A.K. Voronsky, I.V. Evdokimov and other employees of the State Publication House achieved the pursuance of the author’s will and kept the composition and the structure prepared by Yesenin, including in the third volume the dramatic poem “The Country of Scoundrels”.
