The article forms an outlook that the concept of regional linguistic development will allow to explain a number of regional patterns of the language and to understand the peculiarities of regional linguistic identity with due consideration of the culture, the history, the psychology, the geography, the social factors of the region, and to establish regional values, which account for the regional worldview.

Keywords: regional linguistics, regionalism, dialect, regiolekt, regional communication space, the regional linguistic identity.
