The paper examines the poetic work of Svetlana Suslova, who is one of the most prominent representatives of Russian-language literature in modern Kyrgyzstan. The structural, compositional and substantive aspects of her poetry are explored. It was revealed that one of the key categories of the artistic world of S.G. Suslova is the category of memory. The past has a special axiological status in the interpreted author’s concept: it is a time of joyful memories, harmony with oneself and the surrounding world. The past is contrasted with the tragic reality of the present. It was established that one of the main motives of the poetic discourse of memory is sleep. The paper also examined examples of landscape lyrics by S.G. Suslova. The author’s focus on the traditions of Russian literature is emphasized. The multidimensional figurative-associative language of perception in Suslova’s works is demonstrated and analyzed. It is concluded that her poetic system should be considered in a comparative aspect and can become an object of theoretical modeling.
