The article attempts to apply the concept of “value orientations” (V.E. Khalizev) to the Pushkin myth of Russian culture. The article is based on works of popular culture: the fantastic comedy “Save Pushkin” (2017), the animated series “Pushkin and Mikhailovskoye” (2023), and the musical biopic “The Prophet. The History of Alexander Pushkin” (2025). Considering the modern film image of Pushkin, the author of the article analyzes the productive elements of the Pushkin myth: the themes of creativity and the poet’s relationship with the authority. As a result, it is concluded that the image of Pushkin reflects traces of the adventurous-heroic and hagiographic-idyllic literary supertypes. Through them, different value attitudes are broadcast: the desire for confrontation between the individual and the outside world and rootedness in close reality and everyday life. A.S. Pushkin outlined a way to overcome their opposition in his biography and verbal creativity, which determined the unique conceptuality of the Pushkin myth. The unspoken but palpable depth of the problem is conveyed to the public along with the way of harmonizing existence.

Keywords: Pushkin myth, value orientations, “Save Pushkin” (2017), “Pushkin and Mikhailovskoye” (2023), “The Prophet. The History of Alexander Pushkin” (2025)
