The fate of the artist in the novel “The Last Boar from the Forests of Pontevedra” by Dina Rubina (poetics of the image)

The article is devoted to the literary techniques involved in creating the image of the artist with his tragic intention, scattered in a global metatext. The research material is the novel “The Last Boar from the Forests of Pontevedra” by Dina Rubina. In the subtext of the analysis, the author of the article refers to the universal image of the artist, which is present in Rubina’s prose in different hypostases — musician, singer, sculptor, painter, artist, puppeteer, writer, photographer, circus performer, etc. The purpose of the article is to consider the image of the artist Lucio on the basis of receptive aesthetics from empiricism to generalization. The levels of achieving the goal are the analysis of the epigraphs included in the title and final complex of the novel; pictorial ekphrasis entering into a dialog with reality in the form of visual chiasmus; an intradiegetic image — a character represented simultaneously by the character of the picture and the real hero. The novel “The Last Boar from the Forests of Pontevedra” is considered in this perspective for the first time (the article contains a list of works in which the novel “The Last Boar from the Forests of Pontevedra”). Forming the paradigm of creative personality, the article directs the reader’s “eyepiece” to the psychological and anthropological cognition of reality.
