The article is devoted to the study of issues related to the use of neural network algorithms in the creation of works of fiction. The last year has been marked by the active spread of technologies for the use of artificial intelligence in production processes, including in creative fields, where materials created by a neural network are integrated into copyrighted materials and coexist with them. The issue of using network algorithms when creating materials is being actively discussed, since it raises concerns that this kind of technology can pose a threat both to companies and specialists in various industries, and to humanity as a whole. Thus, the use of text generation technologies when creating works of fiction reveals a number of literary and ethical problems, problems in the field of publishing business and the protection of intellectual property rights. The article uses individual examples to examine the literary features of a literary text generated by a neural network. The emphasis is on the linguistic and stylistic components of the texts of the works. This allowed us to argue that various complex techniques are different aspects of creative writing, in which artificial intelligence, unlike human intelligence, is not able to demonstrate an original view. Speaking about trends and prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in literature, aspects of the formation and development of various literary and publishing practices are highlighted.
