European Ideologie and the Problem of the loss of national identity in contemporary German-language literature

The article deals with the display of an identity crisis in the contemporary German-language literature. The roots of this crisis should be found in modern European ideology. Today the means of mass communication and English language, being an information and communication system, serve the new generalized cultural space as the mechanisms for ideological dominants distribution. Social individualism, tolerance and personal freedom create a new ‘global individual’ and a new literature hero.
