Semantic codes in Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”

Рассмотрены так называемые «смысловые коды» пьесы В. Шекспира «Макбет», под которыми понимаются способы выражения авторских идей. Последние обусловлены мировоззрением автора и заложены им в художественное произведение. Составляя концептуальную основу произведения, сами по себе эти коды не являются компонентами сюжетно-композиционного строя, а представляют собой систему определенных связей, объединяющих труд писателя по созданию произведения и труд читателя или зрителя, стремящегося к постижению заключенного в нем смысла. Однако заложенные Шекспиром в трагедию «Макбет» смысловые коды, которые были понятны современникам великого драматурга, стали уже недоступны пониманию читателей и зрителей наших дней. Цель работы — раскрытие этих «смысловых кодов» с тем, чтобы выявить «идейную составляющую» пьесы и объяснить мотивы, побудившие Шекспира взяться за ее написание. Показано, что «Макбет» представляет собой, выражаясь современным языком, произведение «официозное», призванное прославить династию Стюартов, воцарившуюся незадолго до написания пьесы в Англии, а также ее представителя на английском троне — короля Якова I. Показано, с каким мастерством и тактом Шекспир добивается желаемого, избегая прямого, «лобового» славословия в адрес монарха и открытой лести в его адрес.
