The author’s presentation examines the book “The Poetics of Emil Ciaran”, dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of the work of the Romanian-French thinker Emil Ciaran (Emil Cioran, 1911–1995). The study is based on the conceptual triad “deconstruction of the author — genesis of the text — decomposition of style”, which makes it possible to trace the evolution of Cioran writing from the early Romanian period to the late French aphoristic minimalism. The structure of the book, its methodological foundations, key categories of analysis, as well as the main scientific results and novelty are highlighted. It is shown that Cioran’s poetics is interpreted by the author as a form of ultimate writing aimed at the consistent self-destruction of subjectivity, language and the author’s authority.

Keywords: Emil Cioran, poetics, deconstruction of the author, genesis of the text, decomposition of style, fragment, diary, ethos of a private thinker, pretext, metatextual frontier
