The article examines the specifics of the individual use of linguistic means in modern Kumyk poetry; identifies the features of the poetic language, through which vivid and original artistic images are revealed. The work focuses on phonics, visual means of language based on the material of the works of Badrutdin Magomedov, a bright representative of modern Kumyk poetry, because he has a purely individual method of artistic ‘processing’ of language. The manner of writing, linguistic imagery, artistic and stylistic features of his works are original. In the course of analyzing the works of modern Kumyk poets, we came to the conclusion that the poetic language recreates life in its movement and in its possibilities with great completeness. Thanks to the verbal image, a picture of living and inanimate nature ‘emerges’, the history of the formation of human character is presented, the mood is guessed, certain feelings are manifested, etc. The word is thoroughly interconnected with a thought, with a concept. Therefore, in relation to other means of creating an image, it is, the word, significantly meaningful and significantly dynamic. The poetry of poetry depends not only on the combination of certain artistic means within a poetic image, but, above all, on the combination and connection of these images in a work of poetry and the work of writers as a whole. The research is based on descriptive, analytical and comparative methods.
