Radio broadcasting in the modern mass communication system has not lost its relevance and popularity among listeners. Radio remains a reliable channel for transmitting various kinds of information, as it fulfills several functions, including advertising, aesthetic, educational, recreational, educational, marketing, and others. Radio discourse has been a rich research field for scholars of various fields for decades, illustrating new linguistic phenomena and forms. The present study analyses fragments and phrases from contemporary radio texts of selected radio stations and radio programmes for the period 2020–2021. The paper aims to identify the transformations of phraseological phrases by listening to the selected radio stations and to determine the types of such phraseological transformations, the reasons for their use and transformation, and, in turn, to showcase ways for further research.
