This article is about the International scientific and practical conference “Culture goods: modern popular literature of contemporary Russia between letters and digits” which took place in May in Saint Petersburg. More than 60 scientists from different countries and regions of Russia took part in it. The main issue of the conference was the actual and demanding  serious discussion problems of existing of modern popular literature in the context of globalization and the challenges of the digital era. Participation in the conference of philologists, philosophers, sociologists, librarians, publishers, writers ensured the interdisciplinary approach to the topic. The article briefly presents the main ideas of the reports presented at the conference.
