Recognizing many linguistic functions of word, including those that are peculiar to a sentence and an expression, researchers carefully denied at the same time the capacity of a word to express an event. We believe that certain words and word combinations, as well as the very name of “event”, are charged with the event-trigger seme, which is manifested in concerned discourses.

Keywords: word, word combination, event-trigger meaning, time, space, situation.
