An artistic meaning of hints at Dickens’ novel “The Old Curiosity Shop” in the novel of F.M. Dostoevsky “Teenager”

The article analyzes the functions of allusions on the novel by Charles Dickens “The Old Curiosity Shop” in the artistic structure of “Teenager” by F. Dostoevsky. It is established that one of the sources of the image, which has an important ideological load and is associated with the storyline of spiritual transformation of the protagonist in Dostoevsky's novel, is an image of the sun from the novel by Charles Dickens “The Old Curiosity Shop”. The analysis of the sense of the image of the sun allows to open some aspects of author’s scheme in the novel “Teenager”.
