The article examines the specifics of the representation of nature in modern Kumyk poetry. It demonstrates how nature is constructed as an active subject and the basis of the mythopoetic worldview through the system of personifications, comparisons, metaphors, and epithets. Based on the lyrical texts of Supiyanat Mamaeva, a folk poetess from Dagestan, it is shown that the technique of anthropomorphism creates models of a “living” world that engages in dialogue with humans. S. Mamaeva creates poetry of the event, where the power of the verse arises from its ability to be everything and for everyone: her lyrical “I” is an echo of the reader’s soul and a voice of nature itself. The philosophical experience of the unity of the world in the poetry of Kumyk authors is materialized at the level of poetic syntax. The fluidity, naturalness, and syntactic freedom of the lines become a formal analogue of “unity and diversity”, creating a unique rhythm in which complex emotional states are expressed with organic simplicity. It is concluded that modern Kumyk poets, by turning natural phenomena into participants in a dialogue, raise the theme of the relationship between humans and the surrounding reality, which is a significant feature of modern national artistic consciousness.
