The mystical echo of the war in the novel Alexander Pelevin “Pokrov-17”

The article is devoted to A. Pelevin’s novel “Pokrov-17” (2020) as a phenomenon of modern prose that gravitates towards “mystical realism”. The system of characters, the issues, space and time in the work, and the ways of artistic interpretation of the war theme at the intersection of documentary accuracy and fiction are considered. The novel focuses on the interplay between history and modernity, exploring the psychological and mystical transformations of the memory of the war in the context of the epochal and mental shifts at the turn of the century.
