Accidental approach, or “Memory of the genre”: Andrei Platonov’s story “The Cow” and Vladimir Narbut’s Easter story “Unexpected Joy”

The article presents the experience of comparing A. Platonov’s story “The Cow” and V. Narbut’s Easter story “Unexpected Joy”. The presence of the gospel context, which is significant for both works, is found, among other things, at the level of the genre. Fixing the features of the Christmas and Easter stories allows us to correlate the analyzed texts with the prose of N. Leskov, F. Dostoevsky, A. Chekhov, M. Sholokhov in line with the concept of “memory of the genre” by M.M. Bakhtin.
