The theme of memory of Shalamov’s lyrics

In the article is considered insufficiently explored figurative and semantic part of Shalamov’s lyrics: role, significance and interpretation of the theme of memory, one of the most important in his creativity. Opened the link between the sphere of memory and artist’s moral duty. Discussed Shalamov’s idea of memory as the main resource of his art and principal significance of moral influence of experienced events. Identified different interpretations of the theme of oblivion.
